Volunteer Needs

Get involved, meet new folks, have fun, and do something that benefits our community.

One Voice is seeking volunteers for a variety of positions ranging from help with one-time events such as our annual silent auction, to long-term committee assignments in such areas as personnel and marketing. We always need volunteers to help put on concerts as well. We provide training, lots of positive reinforcement and that ineffable touch of glamour that comes from being associated with a great community arts organization.

Here are some of our current openings:

Marketing

Marketing Chair (5-10 hrs/week): Hosts monthly marketing committee meetings. Recruits and trains new committee members. Works with Board Liaison to create annual budget and manages other budgetary concerns of the committee. Facilitates long-term marketing planning to coordinate with OVMC strategic plan. Works with a timeline to coordinate/oversee all event marketing (posters, email marketing, post cards, flyers, ad sales, community outreach etc). Other duties as necessary.

Public Relations (2-10 hours/month): Attends monthly Marketing committee meetings. Establishes connections between local press and chorus including coordinating press releases, community calendar announcements, feature articles and other media related coverage.

Ads Coordinator (2-7 hours/month): Attends monthly Marketing committee meetings. Plans advertising for each season based on timeline, budget, and season’s theme. Maintains up-to-date advertising deadline calendar. Designs and delivers One Voice concert ads.

Print Coordinator (2-10 hours/month): Attends monthly Marketing committee meetings. Coordinates design, printing, and stock of all One Voice printed materials. Distribute materials to individuals as requested. Maintain master copy of all printed materials Work with Production committee regarding ticket printing.

Production

House Manager (2-7 hours/month): Attends monthly Production committee meetings. Coordinates chorus venue on a timeline with regard to contracts, accessibility standards, ticketing procedures, special accommodations for patrons, etc. Will be on hand to handle any venue related issues that arise at concerts the days leading up to concerts.

Stage Crew (2-7 hours/month): Attends monthly Production committee meetings. Works with Production chair to ensure accessibility of space, coordinate props, music, and risers at events. Works with stage manager and house manager to coordinate back stage logistics, ushers, special seating etc. People interested in volunteering here must be flexible.
