BraveSouls and Dreamers

BraveSouls & Dreamers is a ten-movement work that is inspired by the words of Gandhi, Jesus, Mother Teresa, Isaiah, Jimmy Carter, Confucius, Buddha, and the Qur’an and was composed “in response to current raging wars.” It was commissioned by the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus in 2007 and composed by Robert Seeley with text by his partner, Robert Espindola. One Voice commissioned the composer to re-cast the work for SATB (mixed) chorus and it received its premiere in the Twin Cities on January 21 & 22. This is a limited edition recording of the commission from the premiere of BraveSouls & Dreamers and will be autographed.

Building Bridges CD

One Voice is making a difference – in our lives, within the GLBT community and for lasting societal change. During 2004-2005, One Voice put this mission into practice.
Our lives were changed through collaborations with the Twin Cities’ Community Gospel Choir, Rural Aids Action Network, the Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra, and several St. Paul high-school choirs. Our January 2005 Building Bridges concert with Kairos Dance Theatre, incorporated music and stories from our fall collaborations and northern MN outreach tour.

“One Voice is one of the Twin Cities greatest assets—doing bridge building across differences that few organizations are doing, or doing so well. I want to support this work!”
