One Voice Mixed Chorus offers ongoing unpaid internships designed
to expose qualified applicants to marketing, events, and development
work, and other aspects of the nonprofit industry. One Voice known
for its musical excellence, diverse repertoire, humor and strong
commitment to community outreach.
One Voice internships are intended for those who are serious about
pursuing a career in nonprofit management, and the acceptance
process will be highly selective. Please see the individual job
descriptions for detailed information on each type of internship.
All interns are expected to help with general office administrative
tasks such as data entry, photocopying, mailings, and other various
support tasks as needed.
Benefits of an internship at One Voice include a great hands-on
learning experience at a well-established nonprofit arts
organization, exposure to a talented chorus, and the ability to
network with a wide variety of individuals. College credit is also
available. Interested applicants must be in the third or fourth year
of an undergraduate degree; higher level applicants are welcome. One
Voice Mixed Chorus internships require a commitment of 10-20 hours
per week. Internships are generally scheduled during One Voice’s
operating hours (9 AM through 5 PM, Monday through Thursday), but
committee meetings are usually held in the evenings.
Interns will assist the staff with the One Voice’s promotion and
sales efforts. Ideal candidates will be energetic, inventive, hard
working, web-savvy, and brimming with ideas about creative ways to
market our concerts, events, and mission. While assisting with a
wide range of projects, interns will gain hands-on experience and
training in the areas of marketing, development and event planning.
