The Road Less Travelled
January 27, 28, 29: The Road Less Travelled
Sundin Hall, Hamline University
1531 Hewitt Avenue, St. Paul
Featuring new world premier arrangement of Randall Thompson's
Frostiana for chorus, piano, cello, clarinet, oboe and violin.
This new setting, by Twin Cities conductor/arranger Joseph
Schlefke, expands the color and warmth of the instrumental
writing. Frostiana is a very beloved and familiar work of seven
movements, which has been performed frequently throughout the
world since its premier in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1959.
A recent incident in Grand Forks illustrates the ongoing need
to do what One Voice does: make a stand for justice. See the
article HERE.
The song “Not in our town,” on the program for our January
concerts, recounts similar events in Billings, Montana, where
people took a stand against bigotry and injustice.

Comments from the audience...
Congratulations to One Voice Mixed Chorus on another outstanding performance. The extraordinary combination of artistic
excellence and comedic theatrical genius combined with impactful spoken word once again delivered compelling social justice messages with
passion, brilliance, and poignancy. The musicians were fantastic and the Peace Academy Bell Ensemble was a stellar addition to the evening's concert! Thank you so much for a memorable event.
