The mission of Teens Rock the Mic is to impact
society by giving voice to those without -- through
story, experience and art of spoken-word. These young
activists and artists raise awareness, promote social
justice and uplift the community, the nation and the
world. Along with their director and mentor Melissa
Borgman, these performers and social activists are
committed to the spoken word art form as a demonstration
of literacy and leadership.
