All about Auditions
YOU can become a singing member of One Voice
Mixed Chorus! Auditions for our 2008-2009 Spring
Season are scheduled for:
August
25th and September 2nd, 2008
Unity Church Unitarian
732 Holly Avenue, Saint Paul
One Voice is currently made up of 80 singers
from ages 16–65. For our next season the exact
number of openings will depend on the balance of
the singers who audition. Most of our openings
will be for outer voices (high sopranos, low
altos, low basses) but we will add some singers
to all voice parts. The information sheet will
give you information about auditions and our
upcoming musical season.
Auditions include a prepared solo, tonal memory
exercises, sight-reading and singing with
another voice. It is not a requirement to read
music in order to sing in the choir but we test
every singer so that we can balance this skill
within the chorus.
Please review the information sheet
(especially the calendar and attendance policy).
If you are interested in auditioning or you have
questions you can call the One Voice Hotline at
651-298-1954.
